The old way of building websites was to blueprint everything, design everything, develop everything, then test everything. Digital platforms usually took approx. a year to complete before any major testing could be done. Much like the architecture process. All-in-all it would take over a year to learn from the mistakes of a design.

Part of the reason why the industry moved to the fast and dirty methodology of agile, was so teams can learn faster. Why wait a whole year to learn you were wrong when you can get those same insights after only a couple weeks?

These days the most successful projects are those that have been built and failed a thousands times before the general public has a chance to get their hands on it.

Built is as many times as you can before launching.
